Core Charge

ALL CORES MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIPT OR ELSE WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM

All motors will come with a core charge that will be refunded back to you once we receive back your useable core. We require full payment for the motor upfront and we will only charge you for the core charge once we are ready to ship your new motor to you. Once we receive your good useable core back, you will be refunded the core charge. We will ship your new motor first using a crate specifically designed for the MZR motor. Once you remove your new motor just replace it with your used core and strap it back down.

If you want you have the option of using a brand new block in the event that your block is unusable as a core. It is often cheaper to replace your entire block with a brand new one then paying the core charge because you avoid all of the machine work costs associated with restoring a used block to factory conditions. This option is great because you receive a completely new long block from the factory with all new internals including the head and valvetrain.

All core parts will be free of cracks, scores, chips, pitting, non-factory coatings, heat damage, and other defects. We reserve the right to reject any or all of the core parts that are returned for any reason.

When you remove your used block from the car you much wash it out as best as possible with a good degreaser and send it back to us in one piece without disassembling it.

Short Block core charge - $1500
Long Block core charge - $1900

Details of what we consider an acceptable core are outlined below. Any missing components will be deducted from the core charge based on our cost for the missing part.
