The Speed Perf6rmanc3 Stage 3 Camshafts for the MZR-DISI platform are the best choice when wanting to upgrade your cams when you’re looking for the best power potential and wanting to keep the best drive-ability. These are not regrinds so there is no reason to be worried about the high dwell areas of the camshaft lobe wearing out or collapsing. Another great benefit is our nose design. Typically you want the nose radius to be larger. Our cams are designed to utilize the biggest nose radius possible in order to keep stresses to a minimum. The Flank, the part of the profile between the ramp and nose, is the most important part of the whole design. This part controls the airflow velocity and acceleration profile of the valve train. The rate of acceleration and deceleration must be within the working limits of the valve springs. Too much valve lift acceleration and valve float will occur. This grind helped our shop car Mazdaspeed 3 make 1000WHP at only 43 PSI of boost which is the current MZR DISI world record for horsepower. Many companies will simply claim that their cams have been street tested and are proven to make horsepower but they have no data or numbers to back it up.

**If you choose to upgrade your cams you must also upgrade your valve springs to avoid float/coil bind. You must send us your old cams as a core after purchase to be used for this service. You can alternately have us use a set of cams to send out and return us yours after you install the new set. Please contact us for more information.**
